Bag O' Tricks

So the season is just about over, the lifts have stopped pumping and many of the parkrats have hopped back on their skateboards, with the exception of Tuckerman's and some hike parks everything is closed on the east.  I figured I would reflect on the season by making out a list of my bag of tricks starting with the ones I learned this year.

Switch 270 on, pretzel 270 out of flat rails and boxes
        This trick is actually surprisingly easy if you spin onto the rail unnaturally
Switch on, pretzel 270 out of flat rails and tubes
        With nice edge control this trick rotates itself
Switch 360
         I finally have this trick on lock, now time to take it to switch 5's for that line-connecting steez
Misty 540
        Threw a couple last year but stomped almost all of them this year, chigga whattttt
270 on, with as many as 3 switch ups
        spin to win for days
K-Feds on flat rails
        nice edge control makes this trick way easier, still pretty tough to get that counter rotation nice
Blind switch up, 270 out
        the extreme easiness of this trick came to me in an epiphany during the last week of shred
Blind switch up, 450 out
        spin to win all day
front 450 out of flat and up features
        I wouldn't say I have this on lock but i've thrown it clean on some good days
an occasional cork 7
        I would call these accidents-gone-well

All in all a very successful year even with a separated AC.  Now that I'm Montana-bound and surgery is over I'm back on the road to 100%

Loon and Waterville 3/9-3/10

At long last and as promised I have finished putting together the footage from Loon and Waterville on this fine weekend.  This was the first and my last real spring weekend of the year.  After a year of waiting I finally got my shoulder surgery, marking the end of my year of shred.

Jeremie Veilleux: Nordica's Newest

Congratulations to my buddy J money for just gettin put on the Nordica team.  I finally got the chance to shred with him at Mt. Snow the 16th/17th, just before my surgery.

New Hampshire 3/9-3/10

This weekend has been fucking epic.  There is no other way to put it, 50 degrees and bluebird all up in this bitch all weekend.  If you weren't skiing then you must be clinically lame or handicapped.  If the latter, then you still have no excuse because I saw a 1-legged dude killin it today.

but seriously,

shit was rad.

Beers were drank, layers were shed and tricks were stomped.  Waterville and Loon were both in prime shape and the parks couldn't have been better. Edit soon to follow.
